Left-hander Manny Banuelos walked 4 Cubs in the initially inning and hit yet another in the next. It was downhill from there.

Banuelos, a former top rated prospect with the Yankees, has no small-league solutions left and would stand a superior opportunity to make the group, although veteran suitable-hander Ervin Santana has the higher hand as the fifth starter.

Banuelos mentioned he didn’t experience in sync warming up, and it carried about to the activity.

The Cubs pounded relievers Juan Minaya and Aaron Bummer in an eight-run next. Minaya failed to retire any of the 6 hitters he faced (five hits, including a dwelling run to Kris Bryant, and a stroll), and Bummer permitted 4 hits. He did strike out two, even though.
