The Chicago Cubs designed a roster shift on Wednesday, as they put pitcher Kendall Graveman on the 60-day wounded list.
Graveman, whom the Cubs signed this offseason, underwent Tommy John Surgical treatment in 2018, so the roster shift was a formality as the group begins spring education this week.
The shift clears a place on the team’s 40-guy roster, dropping the number of players on that list to 39.
Graveman experienced a down year in 2018, posting a 7.60 Era in 7 commences for the Oakland A’s, but he has been a strong pitcher in his massive league occupation in general, heading 23-29 with a 4.38 Era in 83 occupation appearances, like 83 commences.
There is a smaller probability that the Cubs could get Graveman back this time, but it is much more very likely that he will be a contributor when 2020 rolls close to for the club.
A corresponding roster shift has not been designed.
