Cubs organization player Chris Singleton, mother killed in Charleston church shooting, speaks about racism, forgiveness

ROMEOVILLE, Sick. (WLS) —

Chris Singleton, who plays baseball for the Cubs organization, spoke about racism and forgiveness at Lewis University Tuesday night time.

Singleton’s mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, was just one of the 9 folks killed in the Charleston AME Church massacre in 2015.

“A person walked into my church with despise in his heart, murder on his head, just after he was misled and mistaught to imagine we ended up various for the reason that we appear various,” he instructed attendees.

Singleton reported he are not able to handle what transpired, he can only handle how he treats other individuals moving ahead.
