A participant in the Chicago Cubs corporation will speak at Lewis College about conquering adversity Feb. 12.
Chris Singleton, who signed with the Cubs in 2017 and performed with the organization’s Arizona League and South Bend teams, will be providing a presentation titled “Racism, Restoration, Resilience: Overcoming the Unthinkable Adversity.” The celebration will be in the Lewis College Eating Area on its Romeoville campus at 5 p.m., in accordance to a information launch.
Singleton will talk about forgiving the white supremacist who murdered his mother, Sharonda Coleman Singleton, in 2015, all through the Mom Emanuel AME Church taking pictures in Charleston, South Carolina.
